I am trying to write a quick little bass riff or groove in the key of a using a standard 4/4 count and four chords. If you could help out that would be great!

A common bass riff in the key of A might be the following:

C# (two 8th notes), D (two 8th notes), D# (one 8th note sliding up to) E, and final note of A.
